Yield: about 3 dozen
2 c sugar
1/2 c milk
3/4 c margarine
6 T baking cocoa
3 c quick-cooking oats, uncooked
1 c chopped pecans
1 t vanilla extract
powdered sugar - for garnish
Combine sugar, milk, margarine, and cocoa in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
When mixture comes to a boil, remove from heat; stir in oats, pecans and vanilla.
Allow to cool to room temperature.
Shape into one-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar.
Keep refrigerated in an airtight container.
